Russell N. Ueckert, DVM
Dr. Ueckert is a 1992 graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. He and his family have lived in Abilene since 1992 providing veterinary care for the animals of the Big Country. He enjoys training Labrador Retrievers, fishing, skiing, hunting, farming and flying airplanes. Serving the veterinarians of Texas through Texas Veterinary Medical Association is another of his passions. He has been in leadership in TVMA for many years and is the 2015 TVMA President. He also serves as an Elder and teacher at South Side Baptist Church in Abilene.
John D. Dearing, DVM
Dr. Dearing is a 1980 graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. He moved to Abilene in 1982 and started Dearing Veterinary Clinic, which has grown and thrived under his management. He enjoys camping, skiing, scuba diving and water sports. He has been recognized by the Boy Scouts of America as the Outstanding Scoutmaster of Texas and continues to lead an Abilene-based Troop. TVMA recognized Dr. Dearing as the General Practitioner of the Year in 2014. He is committed to continually learning and sharing his knowledge with other veterinarians.
Adam Arche, DVM
Dr. Arche is a South Texas native. He attended Lubbock Christian University and graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. He enjoys spending time with his family, sports and hunting. His special interests in veterinary medicine are small and large animal medicine cases.
Justin Wortley, DVM
Dr. Wortley’s hometown is Stephenville, Texas where he attended Tarleton University. He graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 and then moved to Abilene. His hobbies include camping, fishing, paintball, firearms, hiking and traveling. He has a cat named “Charlie” and two dogs named “Jagger” and “Chief”. His special interests in veterinary medicine are surgery, neurology and ultrasound.
Heather Lee, DVM
Dr. Lee is a 2015 graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. Although she is not a native Texan, she got here as fast as she could! She enjoys hiking, hunting and fishing in her spare time. She mostly works with small animals and has a strong interest in production medicine.
Kelcie Theis, DVM
Kelcie grew up in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She has one dog – a German Shorthaired Pointer named Scout. Her veterinary interests include preventative health, theriogenology, and client education.
Her hobbies outside of veterinary medicine include spending time outdoors, running with her dog, crafting/DIY projects, and traveling.
